Esham Association – Patient Support Fund held a breakfast meeting in support of its work in helping patients in hospitals.

The gathering, which was held in the hall of Al-Nahda Social Charitable Association – Chanay, was attended by the member of the Democratic Gathering, MP Akram Chehayeb, Sheikh Kamal Abi Al-Mona, representing his Eminence, Sheikh Al Akl Dr. Sami Abi Al-Mona, and a number of religious and social followers and Party followers.

A word on the occasion was given by Head of the Progressive Women’s Union in El Jurd, Saria Hilal Abdel-Khalek, on behalf of El Jurd Internal Agency of the Progressive Socialist Party, in which she said: Here we are back to meet you after a break of several years. However, we did not cut off from our society and our people through the work of Esham Association. And here we are today, confirming our continuation to stand by our people within the possible, despite the difficulties and despite the massive collapse that the country is going through.

The president of the Association, Dr. Hossam Harb, presented the fund’s offerings and contributions since the foundation of the Association and he pointed out that “the Association is in the process of carrying out a donation campaign in the countries of diaspora, which has never hesitated to give us generous donations in support of our continuity”. He also praised the unstoppable contribution of the Head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Joumblatt, who never missed any opportunity to support the Association financially and morally.

For the eleventh consecutive year “Esham” Association – Patient Support Fund held its annual dinner at Casino Piscine Aley under the patronage of the President of the Democratic Gathering, MP Teymour Joumblatt, represented by MP Bilal Abdallah, and with the presence of the Secretary General of the Progressive Socialist Party Zafer Nasser, and Ziad Shaya the Director General of the Consumer Markets Corporation as well as many figures and attendees.

The event was presented by Layal Nasr, then the president of the association, Dr. Hossam Harb, delivered a speech during which he presented the Association’s contributions since its establishment.

“El Jurd” Agent Internal of the Progressive Socialist Party, Joumblatt Ghreizi stated that a good deed is the seed of goodness that grows when we water it, until it becomes a lush tree that gives fruits and shades to all. He added “we succeeded and we will succeed because we are a party whose ultimate goal is the human being and always seeks to secure the best for a decent life that our people deserve. However, our role, which we play through the Association, does not replace the state that must provide health care to all its citizens”.

Representative Abdullah said: “This fund is for all people of the Mount Lebanon. We do not differentiate in health and giving between one person and another, even if this person is an opponent to us. This was Kamal Joumblatt’s mission and Walid Joumblatt’s will, and so we will continue with Teymour Joumblatt. He conveyed the greetings of Teymour Joumblatt to the attendees, affirming his support for El-Jurd and his loyal and honorable community.

After that, the audience enjoyed an artistic program performed by Samah Abi El-Mona and a group of musicians.

“Esham” Association – Patient Support Fund held its annual dinner at Casino Piscine Aley under the patronage of the President of the Democratic Gathering, MP Taymour Jumblatt, represented by the Secretary General of the Progressive Socialist Party Zafer Nasser, and the presence of MP Akram Chehayeb as well as a large number of personalities and influential figures of society.

After displaying a video about the Association’s journey, Samer Abi Al-Muna presented the ceremony. Then the president of the Association, Hossam Harb, delivered a speech and shed the light on the increase of the financial burdens as a result of the increase in people’s need for the Association. Adding, the stage we are going through is very difficult, so we must develop our Association to reach the largest possible segment, increase our capabilities, and plan for a brighter tomorrow.

Then “El Jurd” Agent Internal of the Progressive Socialist Party, Ziad Shaya, delivered a speech in which he said that Esham Association is an idea that was born from the womb of our conviction to support our people, our community, and our society, and when we launched Esham’s initiative, it was a good introduction to other initiatives that grew and succeeded in other places.

Moreover, he praised the permanent sponsorship of the President of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Joumblatt, for the association and his continuous support.

After that, the Association’s management honored Shaya for his efforts since its inception ten years ago, and on the occasion of his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Manager of the Consumer Markets Corporation.

The dinner was concluded with an artistic evening performance.

Under the patronage of the President of the Democratic Gathering, MP walid Joumblatt, represented by the Commissioner of Social Affairs of the Progressive Socialist Party Khaled Al-Mohtar, “Esham” Association held its annual dinner at l’Heritage Resort- Aley, in the participation of many political and social figures as well as heads of municipalities and a large number of invitees.

The event was presented by Tammam Blaik, announcing a song whose lyrics were written specifically for the Association by the poetess Siham Al-Shashaa, and it was musically composed and performed by the Artist Mahmoud Eid.

Then there was a speech by the president of the association, Dr. Hossam Harb, that highlighted the association’s contributions and the number of cases that were accommodated.

Afterwards, “El Jurd” Agent Internal of the Progressive Socialist Party, Ziad Shaya, spoke and confirmed that “despite everything, we are looking forward to a new phase in which economic, social, health and security concerns are the absolute priority, away from the political-populist trends”.
